Summer Faith & Learning Program 2025

Summer Faith & Learning Program 2025

This summer, we were blessed to host a four-week program filled with faith, learning, and fellowship. Meeting three days a week, we welcomed about 30 students divided into two classes—ages 7–10 and 11–15.

Our goal was to strengthen the spiritual foundation of our children while giving them a joyful and memorable summer experience.

What We Learned

The program focused on the foundations of our Tewahedo faith, including:

  • The Pillars of Mystery

  • The Sacraments of the Church

  • How to live as a faithful Christian every day

Students explored what it means to:

  • Attend Church and learn regularly

  • Pray at different times and in different ways

  • Read and understand the Holy Bible

  • Serve God, His House, and His People

  • Fast and bear spiritual fruits

Beyond the Classroom

Each day began with prayer in Ge’ez and included Bible reading, spiritual songs, homework, and fun activities. We also shared meals together, built friendships, and even enjoyed a park day filled with games and laughter.

Recognition & Celebration

At the end of the program, we held a Graduation & Celebration Ceremony where students were recognized for their efforts. Top students from each class received awards, every participant received a certificate, and we celebrated with group competitions, songs, and thanksgiving to God.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We are deeply grateful to our teachers, parents, and volunteers who gave their time and love to make this program possible. Most of all, we thank God for blessing our time together and guiding our students to grow in faith.

This summer reminded us that being a Christian is more than just learning—it’s living with love for God and one another.

We look forward to welcoming even more students in the future!
